KidZania London Schools Activity Design Competition


LONGSHOT KIDS LIMITED (“Promoter”)
The Prizes
1. Prizes: 
• The winning school group will receive:
o one Roland drum-kit (worth £400);
o tickets to KidZania London for a school group of up to 30 pupils aged between 4 and 14 and 4 teachers (worth up to £420)
 Entry tickets must be redeemed by 31st January 2020;
 All entry tickets have to be used at the same time;

 For the avoidance of doubt, transportation to and from KidZania London, food and accommodation shall not be provided as part of the Prize;
 Advance notification of groups with a significant proportion of children with disabilities or special educational needs is required so their needs can be accommodated to ensure the best possible experience.  Risk assessment pre-visits are recommended;
o a visual design from KidZania London designers of the school group’s winning entry, which will be received as 5 copies of a printed poster; 
o the privilege of having the school group’s winning entry and printed poster displayed in the Customer Services Department of KidZania London for one year from the 1st October 2019.

• The runner-up school group will receive:
o tickets to KidZania London for a school group of up to 30 pupils aged between 4 and 14 (worth up to £420);
 Entry tickets must be redeemed by 31st January 2020;
 All entry tickets have to be used at the same time;

How to Enter

2. In order to enter the Competition, lead teachers of a school group (Entrants) must:
• Fill in the registration form available on KidZania London website to register your interest at schoolscompetition@kidzania.co.uk.
Multiple entries can be made from the same school, provided that they are submitted by different lead teachers and registered separately.
• Download KidZania London teacher pack that assists Entrants in creating a lesson/workshop plan and directing pupils through the design process. 
• Download the resources pack which includes (i) the design brief given to pupils who take the role of the Content and Design team for KidZania London and (ii) instructions on what to do next.
• Encourage pupils to think creatively in solving a problem and how they might like to submit their entry – The Promoter will take various forms of media including but not limited to videos and photos, written descriptions using the template provided.
• Submit their entries to schoolscompetition@kidzania.co.uk. If the Entrants want to send videos, you may use WeTransfer or You Send It with the link to download. All entries must be submitted with the registration form to be valid. If Entrants would like to post your entry, please send to Schools Competition, KidZania London, Westfield London, Ariel Way, London, W12 7GA.
3. No other forms of entry will be accepted.
4. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this Competition. 
5. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason including, without limitation, whether lost, corrupted, incomplete or for any failure to capture entry information. 
6. By entering the Competition, all lead teachers from the winning and runner-up school groups acknowledge that they shall:
1. be responsible for having consent forms duly completed and signed by any adult member of the school groups being photographed or filmed, and any guardian or parent whose child is photographed or filmed;
2. ensure that in such forms, consent is given to be photographed and filmed during the winning celebration and to have their images used on KidZania London social media, blog, printed advertising and advertorials of the winning and runner-up school groups, and on KidZania London notice board to communicate about the competition;
3. provide such forms promptly upon the Promoter’s request. 
7. By submitting their Entry, the Entrant warrants and undertakes that:
4. their entry is the original work of pupils in your school group and does not infringe any third party rights;
5. they have the right to grant the Promoter permission to use their entry in the ways described in clause 8 of these terms and conditions.
6. their entry does not infringe English law;
7. their entry does not, to the best of your knowledge and belief, infringe the law of any other country;
8. their entry complies with all terms and conditions of use applicable to the relevant social media platforms.
9. they hereby waive and agree not to assert (and warrant that all individuals featured have waived and agreed not to assert) any moral rights in and in connection with the entry;
10. they shall, on request, do such other things and execute such documents as are reasonably requested of them by the Promoter in order to allow the Promoter to use their entry for the permitted purposes;
8. Entrants agree that the Promoter and Longshot Kids Limited t/a KidZania London may, but are not required to, share their school group design on the KidZania London website, and on any other media. Entrants agree to grant the Promoter and to Longshot Kids Limited t/a KidZania London a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry and any accompanying materials for any commercial purposes.
9. Entrants agree to indemnify the Promoter in respect of third party claims arising out of or in connection with any breach by them of the warranties and undertakings set out in these terms and conditions (in particular, the warranties and undertakings set out in this clause).

Eligibility
10. Entry to the Competition is open to schools based in the United Kingdom represented by a lead teacher who are aged eighteen (18) or more (the Entrants). 
11. The Competition opens at [time] on [Day] 2017 (Opening Date) and closes at 17:00:00 GMT on Friday 28th June 2019 (Closing Date). After the Closing Date no further entries to the Competition will be accepted.
12. Only one entry per lead teacher. Multiple entries can be made from the same school, provided that they are submitted by different lead teachers and registered separately.
13. Entry into the Competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions and each Entrant agrees to be bound by the decisions of the Promoter in respect of the interpretation of these terms and conditions and otherwise in relation to the Competition. Entrants who do not comply with these terms and conditions will not be eligible to win the Prize.
14. Ineligible or fraudulent entries are void. All Entrants will be deemed to have authorised the Promoter to check the completeness and accuracy of the information they supply for purposes of participation. An Entrant who has supplied incomplete, inaccurate or fraudulent information will be automatically disqualified.
15. Use of computer programs and other automatic means to enter the Competition is prohibited and may result in the disqualification of the Entrant.
16. Employees of the Promoter or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the Competition or helping to set up the Competition shall not be permitted to enter the Competition.
The Winners
17. The Competition entries will be judged by a panel of three judges based on the most creative design. The decision of the panel of judges (acting reasonably) will be final and binding.
18. A list of names of the judges can be viewed at the offices of the Promoter from the Closing Date for a period of 60 days.
19. The lead teachers of the Competition winning school group and runner-up will be notified by email or telephone by 13 September 2019. If the Competition winner and runner-up cannot be contacted or does not claim their Prize within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw that Prize from such Competition winner or runner-up and pick a replacement winner or runner-up.
20. The Promoter will inform the Competition winner and runner-up of any arrangements for the redemption of their Prize.
21. The Competition winner and runner-up agree to the use of the school’s name and images by the Promoter in any publicity material.
22. The name of the Competition winner and runner-up will be available 28 days after closing date by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope to the following address: KidZania London, Westfield London, Ariel Way, London W12 7GA. 
The Promoter
23. The promoter is Longshot Kids Limited (Company Number 07880327) with its registered office at 4-5 Albany Courtyard, London W1J 0HF. Its address for correspondence relating to the Competition is KidZania London, Westfield London, Ariel Way, London W12 7GA (the Promoter).
24. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Competition Terms
26. The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel or amend the Competition terms and conditions without notice and for any reason including in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the Promoter’s control. Any changes to the Competition will be notified to Entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter.
27. No cash alternative to a Prize will be offered. Prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
Limitation of Liability
28. Any omission to exercise, or delay in exercising, any right or remedy under these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver by the Promoter of that, or any other, right or remedy.
29. The Promoter shall not be responsible for damages, losses or liabilities of any kind, including without limitation, direct, indirect or consequential loss or damages arising out of or in relation to the Competition. Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury as a result of the Promoter’s negligence.
Governing Law
30. The Competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
Data Protection
31. By entering this Competition, Entrants will be added to the Promoter’s database by indicating their consent to receiving general communications from the Promoter.
32. Any personal data and other information provided by Entrants relating to the Competition winner, runner-up or any other Entrants will be used solely in accordance with Data Protection Act 1998 and will only be used in conjunction with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy found at https://kidzania.co.uk/terms-a...
