On Thursday 21st May, we will be joined by Hayley Walton from Your Grey Matters, who specialise in combining mental health and wellbeing with PSHE & RSE. Based in the Grown Ups Garden Shed, Your Grey Matters will educate teachers in areas of mental health, wellbeing and deliver a series of activities exclusively for teachers. These activities include:

  • Mythbusting mental health; designed to challenge myths around mental health and wellbeing
  • How do we have conversations with colleagues whose mental health concerns us?
  • The teacher mask: exploring the mask that teachers wear to work; what they want their colleagues to see and what they may be masking
  • Grounding activities: take 5 countdown, star breathing, finger breathing and square breathing that can be discreetly used during times of stress
  • Ssssshh: want to read a magazine, a chapter of a book? Have some quiet time to yourself.

Please note: This activity is running for one day and is suitable for teachers only.
