Our KidZania London Mayor's October Half Term with Guinness World Records

Kai KidZanians!

On the 26th of October, I met the Guinness World Records team in KidZania.

They had set up an activity and inside it, there were several adjudicator tasks you could participate in such as measuring things, timing record attempts, weighing the heaviest things and counting objects. I was even fortunate enough to meet the Guinness World Records mascot - Ally Zing from Startopia.

I really enjoyed reading the Guinness World Records 2020 book. I got to find out about some interesting new records:
The heaviest aircraft pulled over 100m by a wheelchair team: On 23 November 2018, a team of 98 wheelchair users pulled a 127.6-tonne 787-9 Boeing Dreamliner.
The largest school (number of pupils): City Montessori School in Lucknow, India has 55,547 pupils.
The deepest piece of plastic debris ever found: A plastic bag was found in the Mariana Trench at the depth of 10,898m.
There are loads more interesting records in the book and, on page 6 there is an article about GWR’s visit to KidZania last year and the records broken right here in our city!

See you soon,
Kishan Shah
Mayor of KidZania London
